Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, now residing in Los Angeles, Mez is a true savant - a GRAMMY-nominated recording artist, songwriter, music producer, and film director. His breakthrough came in 2015, when he wrote 14 of the 16 tracks on Dr. Dre's critically acclaimed Compton album. Fast forward to 2019, where Mez's multi-hyphenate talent was highlighted on Dreamville's Revenge of the Dreamers III, where he was featured on two songs and directed the video for J. Cole's 9x platinum record "Middle Child", his directorial debut. Looking to today, Mez recently released the critically acclaimed “The Loading EP” boasting collaborations from Leon Bridges, Isaiah Rashad, SAINt JHN, and more, all while his creative agency HEIRS Entertainment services clients such as Supreme, TDE, and Dreamville. With the warm reception of “The Loading EP” and an upcoming tour to support it, Mez has his sights set on his debut LP in 2025 with more self-directed visuals and lyrical masterpieces to come.
