Rugby Wild - [Thumbs Up]

LA artist Rugby Wild ended 2021 strong with his third project Thumbs Up and it didn’t disappoint. I was a fan of his sophomore project StayInside! And Thumbs Up still shows great development with Rugby finding his style and polishing his sound. The project consisting of twelve songs and no features shows off Rugby’s ability to flow over any beat and his distinct personality as an artist. Most tapes take a few listens to be able to form a strong opinion on it, but this project immediately intrigued me and showed off Ruby’s melodic tone and clever wordplay, mix that with the dope production and you’ve got a great project all the way through. Rugby Wild is definitely one of the most dynamic and lively acts I’ve had the chance to listen to lately and I can’t wait to hear what’s next from him.
