Ahmad Anonimis Continues His Run With “Can’t Wake Up”

Atlanta based artist, Ahmad Anonimis, has been on a run all year but just released what I see as the new song of the summer in Can’t Wake Up. Ahmad’s wordplay and punctual flows paired with his distinct and upbeat voice comes together for a perfect blend of modern sounds similar to upcoming stars such as JID or Saba. The song structure keeps listeners engaged throughout the whole track, and his hook game has somehow gotten even stronger with recent releases. Tracks like Get Back and his breakout project Dancing With My Feet Up have cemented him as a top upcoming talent in hip hop, but Can’t Wake Up is here to prove what sets him apart. 

Last time we talked with Ahmad in his modrNation interview, he mentioned that the upcoming music was the evolution of his past drops, and that has proven to be nothing but true. He’s polished his sound, brought up the production value and clearly found his lane.
