Ajna Releases Heartfelt Track “Lifelines”

Since the release of his last single Fall So Fast, Los Angeles artist Ajna has kept his foot on the gas by releasing a new single Lifelines. “The most important song I’ve made” Ajna said via Instagram when talking about the release of the track. The song being a dedication to his girlfriend who on September 1, 2020 went into cardiac arrest, depicts his raw emotions he has dealt with since then. Ajna goes into detail about the many emotions he is going through, from the disconnect between his parents, to him losing his lover. One can only imagine how he is feeling but he stayed strong and found a silver lining in creating music to express himself. Growing up biracial being black and white he speaks on his thoughts and the gray area of him not understanding himself and who he is.

This song is relatable in that we all have been born into circumstances we did not choose, rather good or bad one thing that is consistent is that we all battle with emotions we don’t understand and thoughts we can not control. The main thing to understand is that you are not alone on this journey but there are others who have been through similar situations and can feel your pain. Serving as a testament to those who are dealing with unresolved emotions and thoughts, it proves that one can find peace with what has happened and move forward. Accompanied by a video that illustrates his lyrics he gives us visuals of his story by going through memories he and his girlfriend created together. The jazz-inspired instrumental compliments his flow and it captures the moment. A song to listen to if you ever need to hear uplifting words that will assure you everything will be okay.
