Inkay2x Releases Audiomack Exclusive “Hey, Nice To Meet You”

Nkwelle Nkwelle also known as Inkay2x releases his latest single Hey, Nice To Meet You exclusively on Audiomack. Coming out of PG County, Maryland seems to be producing more artist over the years from Logic, IDK, & newer artist such as redveil. Inkay2x is the latest rapper to come out of Maryland. Infusing pop and rap, Inkay2x is separating himself from the box of being just a rapper and expanding into pop. Creating music that is positive and uplifting is a challenge in today’s generation where popular music is more negative. Rapping the lyrics “I go and be myself and they tell me that I’m odd…rather be misunderstood than underrated.” Inkay2x touching on this subject is important in the fact that instead of being yourself and being misunderstood, most people conform to society to fit in.

Inkay2x takes the approach of talking about his personal life and what is going on rather than money, sex, and drugs. His music reminds me of artists such as KYLE & 24kgolden, who have also been leading faces in the emergence of pop-rap. When talking about the song structure you can compare it to Future, as he raps in for about 75% of the song, then sings the remainder of the song. On the outro of the song Inkay2x also does something that Future does a lot in his music by putting his vocals through an equalizer to create the “telephone” effect over his vocals. This song is driven by mood & and you can feel his energy through the music.
