Kelly Moonstone Links Up With MAVI For “Just Another Day”

Up and Coming Artist out of Brooklyn, New York, Kelly Moonstone gives us the uplifting ode titled “Just Another Day” FT. MAVI. When I first played this song off my desktop I instantly thought of the start of an old 90s movie where a kid is coming out of his apartment to go to school and he pops a cassette tape into his cassette player and starts walking to catch the train. I really love how the beat gives you a warm, euphoric feeling inside that even though you may be going through something it will all be ok. The standout part from Kelly's verse is the hook. The hook gives great imagery to the listener because you can exactly see what this person is doing in the setting they are in. Moving into Mavi`s verse his chill laid back vocals match well with the beat and based on the lyrics and vibe it felt like an old school love story where the two met up in the park and wanted to learn more about one another. This song reminds me of an Old Jhene Aiko, Childish Gambino song called BedPeace.

When music is able to paint a scene in someone's mind that's how songs stick. Back then when Television shows were on the radio we knew the most memorable ones were all ones with catchy story lines and memorable sounds, characters etc. This song has that feel to it even though it's not a hot 100 billboard song it is still memorable and deserves all the praise and shine. This is the breath of fresh air that the music industry needs right now, and I can’t wait to hear what’s up next from the budding artist.
