Langston Bristol Returns With New Single “Troo”
Langston Bristol understood the assignment. The Detroit rapper and Producer often builds a soundscape that doesn't require much to grasp the ear of the listener. There's a secret arrangement between him and the listener. He'll capture the traits of fostering a healthy relationship, and in return, we'll take those songs and play them in those moments. We all seek companionship, and that feeling is where he feels most comfortable.
His latest single, "Troo," featuring Curtis Roach, speaks on a feature of companionship: loyalty. Langston appears appalled by the lack of authenticity he sees around him. "I hang a gang of real niggas/You lame if you fake to your niggas" lecturing those inconsistent with their loyalty. Sprightly keys drift around his voice like the moon, which only glows as bright as Langston's and Curtis's melodies and cadences. Yet, there's a differing perspective between the two. While Langston observes those actions and denounces them, Curtis is light-hearted, "keep it real with me if I got a booger in my nose," speaking more about his expectations from his friends and thanking those showing support between the ease. "Troo" is Langston's and Curtis's ode to those who have been real to them from the very beginning.
