PG County native Malik Elijah recently dropped his first track of the year BEAMMEUP, and it definitely set the tone for what’s seeming to be a big year for the budding artist. We had the chance to talk with Malik earlier this year where he said this year he feels he’s finally found his aesthetic, and this drop definitely makes for a promising future in this newfound lane. 

Malik came into this track with aggressive flows and lyrics making it clear this year is his for the taking, the confidence boasted behind this track paired with the hook that makes you feel as if you’re floating makes for a very dynamic track and an enjoyable listen. You can hear the Mick Jenkins influence shining through across this track, but Malik has a great way of spinning his influences into a never before heard sound, always coming with a refreshing sound.
