So Much Hate - [MESSIAH! & Mavi]

Charlotte artists and longtime friends Mavi and MESSIAH! Came together for a surprise New Years day drop with their new single SO MUCH HATE. The upbeat production from nova blu with the horns looping through the track make the perfect track to bring in 2022. This isn’t the first time the two have worked together, they’ve released three other tracks together, my favorite being the quick but insightful Beacon Talk, it makes sense they’d have some tracks together as Mavi actually shouted out Messiah at the modrNation Jam Fest last month. 

In an industry with new artists and sounds coming up everyday it’s great to see pioneers of a new sound like Mavi and MESSIAH! continue to stay consistent. North Carolina’s hip hop scene has consistently produced new names with artists like J. Cole, Mez, Toosii, Morray, Cordae, Rapsody and more. Mavi dropped a top project of last year with End of the Earth and MESSIAH! stayed persistent with the singles so I can’t wait to see what the two of them put out this year and they’re both definitely artists to keep an eye on in 2022.
