Ajna Releases New Single “Fall So Fast”

Los Angeles-based artist Ajna has been buzzing in the underground scene with the success of his singles Take Me Back and Just a Man. If you are a fan of introspective rap, Ajna is the artist for you bringing a fresh approach to the sub-genre of hip hop. Gearing up to release his latest single Fall So Fast, Ajna explains how this song came about. “My cousin [Q.] opened his home to me last year to visit and work on music, and I’m beyond excited to finally drop our first song together” Ajna said via Instagram. Recruiting his cousin and artist Q. and singer Angelina, Ajna said this is his “favorite song to date.” With the title of the song being the overall theme, Ajna utilizes his storytelling to talk about his feelings of falling in love with someone who didn’t stick around.

The song kicks it off with the chorus being led by Q. accompanied by backing vocals and harmonies from Angelina while Ajna carries the song throughout the two verses. Delivering on his lyrics he takes an honest and emotional approach depicting the dissatisfaction of loving someone who is no longer in his life. His voice is reminiscent of Logic, who is also very lyric driven and introspective. Fusing elements from rap to soul, the song brings joy and a positive feeling of healing after hurt. Not only being an artist on the song but Ajna had his hands in the producing side of things with his cousin Q. Immediately after hearing the sample it caught Ajna’s ear and Q sent him the beat with a hook, the rest is history.
